Characteristics

The barn swallow’s tail feathers are deeply forked, and the body is black with blue luster on the back. Its forehead is red-brown along with its the throat. The upper chest has black horizontal stripes.
Habits: The barn swallow builds its nest under the roof of buildings, and the nest is bowl-shaped. The bird is good at flying and catches small flying bugs.
Summer/Common, Winter/Common, Transit/Common; Body length: 17 cm
Birdwatching period: all year round
